Innovation in healthcare must come from physicians. And it’s just another form of practicing. I’m a medical doctor passionate about tech. I’ve become a neuroradiologist because it allowed me to work with the human brain and technology at the same time. I’ve studied in Oxford for my PhD in Neuroscience and finished an Executive MBA at IE Business School. However, my most amazing achievement is definitely Tonic App.

Christophe de Kalbertmatten, CFO
Starting my career in the hectic financial sector as a sales-trader, where I advised companies on their foreign currency risk, always seemed like the right thing for me. Having grown up in the Indian Himalayas, I craved new challenges and the financial markets gave that on a daily basis. That entrepreneurial focus is also what drew me to the Exec MBA at the IE Business School – I wanted to leave IE with a startup project crystallising in my pocket. I didn’t realise when I signed up that I was going to pull it off – Tonic App was born!

Dávid Borsós, Product and Data Analysis
I’ve prepared myself for a more traditional career before I turned to digital health. I completed my master’s in business studies, focusing on banking and investment, and then studied computer science. During the first years of my career, a long-term illness forced me to spend some time discovering how inefficient healthcare is today. I didn’t know how I could make it better until I have met an amazing team at IE Business School during my MBA. And we’ve created Tonic App together.
